Adventures in Beadwork

Since I was around 10 years old I've been buying, sorting and occasionally making things with beads.  It began with creating little bracelets on a loom, then some Danish bead stars from a pattern I stumbled across in a craft magazine and then, for art GCSE, this harlequin (below) came into being, inspired by Picasso's various early-career harlequin paintings.

Since then, I've been a committed beader, supporting my local volunteer-led group, Beadwildered. (If you're looking for the workshops page for Beadwildered, here it is!).

Running beadwork retreats for 15 years and, more recently, becoming a trustee of the Beadworkers Guild.

In 2024, I was chuffed to bits to receive the Founder's Award at the annual Beadworkers Guild challenge for my Yellow Submarine.  You can watch a little video of how I put it together here.

If you'd like to chat about how we could collaborate in a beady way, ping me an email and we can take it from there.
